About the role#
Audax is seeking an AI Engineer Co-Op to join the business solutions team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work directly with the Director, AI Solutions Architect to support AI initiatives across the firm. This role involves hands-on development, AI governance, and coordination with data teams to ensure high-quality outputs.
What you'll do#
- Design, implement, and maintain the Audax AI ecosystem.
- Collaborate with internal IT professionals to scale AI infrastructure within the cloud enterprise.
- Develop proof-of-concept projects for various business functions.
- Implement AI governance policies, including documentation, security, and privacy standards.
- Perform data validation and quality assessments alongside internal data engineers.
- Write code using Python, SQL, and Git within an IDE environment.
- Support user testing and information gathering across the firm.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Git.
- Experience with at least two of the following: traditional machine learning, natural language processing, transfer learning, predictive analytics, agentic frameworks, AI output evaluation, or data engineering.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Previous Co-Op or full-time experience in a related field is a plus.

- Modality: On-site (3-4 days per week in the office).
- Term: January 4, 2027, to June 25, 2027.
- Compensation: $30.00-$34.00 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
