About the role#
The Global Third Party Risk Co-Op supports the third-party risk team with risk assessments, data validation, and platform enhancements. You will assist with the vendor onboarding process and help maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. This role sits within the broader Enterprise Risk Management group, offering exposure to projects involving business resilience and corporate insurance.
What you'll do#
- Support the Third-Party Risk Management program by managing vendor lifecycles, including onboarding, monitoring, and termination.
- Maintain the firm's vendor inventory and associated data.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, Enterprise Sourcing, business groups, and vendors.
- Monitor and track risk assessments through each phase of the review process to ensure documentation is complete.
- Review vendor risk assessment results and help track and resolve identified issues.
- Assist in responding to client and prospect inquiries regarding third-party risk.
- Support the rollout of new tools and processes while documenting roles and responsibilities.
- Perform oversight tasks related to third-party risk, business resilience, and corporate insurance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High degree of professionalism, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive goals.
- Genuine interest in risk management or law.
- Familiarity with data analytics and AI tools is a plus.
