About the role#
The Master Planning Studio manages the development framework for Disney resorts. This team focuses on land, urban, and regional planning, along with infrastructure, environmental permitting, and real estate development. As an intern, you will support these functions by providing technical planning assistance and helping to inform long-term development decisions.
What you'll do#
- Support the Master Planning Studio with daily design and planning tasks.
- Assist project teams by providing creative and technical land and urban planning support.
- Prepare planning and design documentation, including graphic illustrations, imagery, boards, color renderings, and research reports.
- Coordinate with team leaders to complete site planning analysis, 3D visualization, and master planning initiatives.
- Build graphic visualizations and presentation storylines.
- Conduct research and data analysis to inform planning and development strategies.
- Maintain and update a global planning database.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
- Ability to visualize and communicate complex information.
- Experience with sketching and digital design for problem solving.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), CAD software, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, and Revit.
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS and its extensions.
- Strong strategic, technical, and analytical skills.
- A collaborative and team-oriented work style.
- A portfolio link included on your resume is required for consideration.
- Experience with large-scale community or resort planning, sustainable site planning, or professional organization membership is preferred.
- Pursuit of an advanced professional degree in a planning-related field is a plus.
