About the role#
The Financial Reserves Management (FRM) team partners with insurance company clients to oversee approximately $190 billion in assets across more than 165 relationships. This co-op provides hands-on experience in client relationship management and business development within a global investment firm. You will support reporting and analytical projects, assist with presentations, and contribute to team growth objectives. You will also collaborate with investment professionals to gain exposure to fixed income, private markets, portfolio positioning, and performance discussions.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation of presentation materials, briefing documents, research, and collateral for client and prospect meetings.
- Collaborate with relationship, product management, portfolio management, guideline, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Work with senior leadership on strategic projects to streamline team initiatives, goals, and reporting.
- Run with project work independently, including analyzing industry investment trends, developing client and competitor analysis, and creating fundraising target lists.
- Attend client portfolio review meetings.
- Assist the team during peak periods.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Northeastern University student.
- Prior co-op experience is required.
- Strong communication, time management, project management, and organizational skills.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent judgment and a very strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and complete high-quality work against deadlines.
- An interest in the markets or the investment management industry.
- A personable, professional, and collegial attitude with a sense of humor.
