About the role#
We are hiring a Consulting Intern to join our advisory team. This role supports our Governance, Risk, and Compliance practice. You will work on various consulting service offerings while receiving formal and on-the-job training. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist engagement teams with research, analysis, and the preparation of client deliverables.
- Contribute to multiple phases of consulting engagements under supervision.
- Perform hands-on client work from the office or at a client site.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Economics, Business Analytics, AI Management, Computer Science, Public Health, Public Policy, Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create charts, graphs, and databases.
- Basic familiarity with GAAP, GAAS, and IIA standards.
- Basic understanding of Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 and the role of information technology in compliance.
- Knowledge of IT controls and how they affect the control environment (COBIT and COSO frameworks are preferred).
- Basic understanding of systems infrastructure, security, connectivity, remote access, and data mining.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fluid working environment.

- Location: Sacramento, California, USA.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour.
- Travel may be required.
