About the role#
As a Public Sector Advisory Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working on diverse client engagements. This full-time internship is designed to help you build a foundation for a career in consulting while working directly with municipal governments, school districts, and public power agencies. You will work alongside Staff, Seniors, Managers, and Partners to gain real-world insight into the public sector industry.
What you'll do#
- Execute meaningful work engagements that contribute to client projects.
- Participate in intern orientation and a structured training and development program.
- Perform internal control risk, operations, and organizational reviews.
- Collaborate with team members at all levels of the firm.
- Engage directly with public sector clients.
- Build professional relationships and a network within the firm.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Policy, Accounting, or a related business major.
- Current enrollment in a Master of Public Policy or Master of Public Administration program is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong skills in time management, communication, problem solving, and collaboration.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and organizational skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
- Relevant internship, work experience, or professional organization involvement is desired.
- Submission of a resume and unofficial transcript is required.
