About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in either Tax or Audit. You will work alongside experienced professionals on client engagements. This role helps you build technical accounting knowledge, communication skills, and professional relationships. You will participate in training, team activities, and special projects throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engagement teams and clients to gather information and maintain documentation.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Apply coaching and feedback to improve work quality.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information.
- Support audit procedures, including testing account balances and financial transactions.
- Prepare clear workpapers documenting procedures, evidence, and conclusions.
- Assist with federal, state, and local tax returns, calculations, and supporting schedules.
- Conduct tax research and document your findings.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting or a related business discipline.
- At least one academic term remaining after the internship ends.
- On track to meet CPA exam eligibility requirements before starting a full-time Associate position.
- Foundational accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Ability to provide a resume and unofficial transcript.
