About the role#
As a Public Sector Advisory Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in fiscal operations and consulting. You will work directly with public sector clients, including municipal governments, school districts, and public power agencies. This role is designed to help you build a professional foundation while contributing to meaningful client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Execute work engagements that impact the business.
- Participate in intern orientation and professional development programs.
- Perform internal control risk, operations, and organizational reviews.
- Collaborate with Staff, Seniors, Managers, and Partners.
- Build professional relationships and gain practical experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in accounting, finance, business, public policy, public administration, MPA, or MPP.
- At least one academic term remaining after the internship concludes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong skills in time management, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Active pursuit of CPA licensure is a plus.
- Submission of a resume and unofficial transcript(s).
