About the role#
Blue & Co., LLC is hiring a Healthcare Consulting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship based in Columbus, Ohio. You will work within our Healthcare Reimbursement team to support client service initiatives, focusing on reimbursement opportunities and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Reconcile large volumes of financial and operational data using standardized analytical tools.
- Assist with reimbursement consulting projects, specifically Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports and Wage Index.
- Research reimbursement regulations to identify improvements for client outcomes.
- Collaborate with professionals across the Healthcare Consulting Practice on various client engagements.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions while tracking action items and building industry knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Accounting, Finance, or related degree, with progress toward CPA exam requirements.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions about complex topics.
- Availability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, and to travel as necessary.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
