About the role#
As a Technology Risk Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across industries such as manufacturing, real estate, construction, financial services, and healthcare. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with business owners and executive management. To support your growth, you will be assigned a Performance Advisor who will provide guidance throughout your internship.
What you'll do#
- Learn about client needs, their industry, and their internal control systems.
- Assist in the design and optimization of controls using your knowledge of business processes and information technology.
- Identify internal control deficiencies and evaluate risk implications to provide recommendations to clients.
- Create internal control documentation for client engagements.
- Engage with client leadership to discuss strategies for emerging technology risks.
- Participate in projects such as Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, System and Controls (SOC) reporting, and IT controls testing.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree with an expected completion date of December 2027 or June 2028.
- Your major is in Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You possess strong multi-tasking and project management abilities.
- You work well as a member of a team and maintain a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Certification or progress toward a CPA, CISA, or CIA is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Dallas, Texas.
- The role is on-site. You must have access to reliable transportation to reach client locations.
- This position is for Summer 2027.
