About the role#
As a Technology Risk Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across various industries including manufacturing, real estate, financial services, and healthcare. You will gain hands-on experience with direct access to business owners and executive management. Each intern is assigned a Performance Advisor to guide their professional development throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Learn about client needs, industry standards, and accounting or control systems.
- Assist with the design and optimization of internal controls.
- Identify control deficiencies, evaluate risks, and form conclusions to advise clients.
- Create documentation to support client engagements.
- Engage with client leadership regarding strategies for emerging technology risks.
- Participate in projects such as SOX compliance, SOC reporting, IT controls testing, and internal audits over ERP and security systems.
What you'll need#
- Completion of 90 credit hours toward a B.A. or B.S. degree.
- Major in Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Systems.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
- Progress toward or interest in CPA, CISA, or CIA certification is a plus.
