About the role#
As a Process Risk and Controls Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across diverse industries. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting internal audits, SOX compliance work, and financial reporting control projects. These projects help clients understand their operations and manage potential risks. You will have direct access to clients at various management levels throughout your internship.
What you'll do#
- Support consulting projects by sitting in on client meetings.
- Prepare reports on consulting services and discuss findings and recommendations with clients.
- Complete client projects efficiently according to project timelines.
- Analyze client information using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Travel to client locations as requested to provide services.
- Attend conferences, trainings, and meetings for professional development.
What you'll need#
- Completion of 90 credit hours toward a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited university.
- A major in Accounting (preferred), Finance, or Data Science.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- CPA certification or working towards certification is preferred.
