About the role#
The Infrastructure Consulting Intern role provides professional training and hands-on experience for technology-minded individuals. You will work with client companies to install, implement, and support advanced systems and network infrastructure. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support and troubleshoot workstations, servers, and network issues.
- Perform systems administration for Office 365, Windows Servers, and workstations.
- Develop IT operations plans to maintain technology environments.
- Assist with implementations or upgrades involving vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, HP, VMware, Nimble, NetApp, or Meraki.
- Manage collaboration upgrades and deployments, including VoIP telephony, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.
- Assist organizations in adopting modern workplace solutions.
- Migrate client on-premise infrastructure to cloud workloads in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Participate in client infrastructure assessments and IT audits.
- Provide phone and email technical support to end-users.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or an IT-related concentration.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Familiarity with Apple and Windows-based software and hardware.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience with Office 365, SharePoint, and email workloads.
- Experience with firewalls like Cisco, SonicWALL, and Meraki.
- Experience with VMWare ESX hosts and vSphere Client.
- Experience with Windows Servers, Azure AD, and Teams administration.
- Experience with remote solutions such as Citrix, Remote Desktop Services, and VPN.
- Experience with enterprise mobile devices.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client locations.
