About the role#
Blue & Co., LLC is hiring for a full-time Public Accounting Internship during the Winter 2028 term. This is a paid, on-site position. Interns join our Tax, Audit, or Healthcare Reimbursement teams to gain hands-on experience by working directly with client service teams, leadership, and business owners.
What you'll do#
- Assist with audits and reviews.
- Analyze how business transactions affect financial statements.
- Prepare basic financial statements and client schedules.
- Handle standard and complex tax return preparation, including 1040, S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnerships, 941, and 1099 forms.
- Conduct tax research projects.
- Assist with Medicaid and Medicare cost report analysis for health care facilities.
- Perform analysis related to mergers, acquisitions, litigation, ESOPs, and estate and succession planning.
What you'll need#
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, or related major on track to meet CPA exam requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.
- Availability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, and to travel as necessary.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.

- This internship is based on-site in Louisville, Kentucky and Westerville, Ohio.
