About the role#
Weaver is hiring interns for the Energy Compliance Services (ECS) practice for the Spring 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship running from January 2027 through May 2027. The ECS practice helps businesses navigate environmental regulations, including those set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Environment Canada. Much of the work involves auditing and verifying compliance with transportation fuel regulations to help reduce air pollutants and carbon emissions.
What you'll do#
- Perform a variety of consulting services within the ECS practice.
- Work with team members to identify and resolve issues during assignments.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and engagements.
- Develop an understanding of technical laws and regulations relevant to the practice.
- Research issues and provide management with clear information on routine, non-complex matters.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic familiarity with GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Team orientation and interpersonal skills.

- This role is on-site in Austin, Houston, or The Woodlands, Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Compensation is $35.00 to $37.00 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and location.
