About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship based in New York for the Summer of 2027. You will join the Casualty Team to gain hands-on experience in commercial underwriting. The role focuses on risk assessment, policy structuring, and managing a business portfolio within the insurance market.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and underwrite casualty liability risks.
- Learn the insurance lifecycle and the commercial casualty market.
- Work alongside experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams.
- Meet with external broker partners and clients to build your professional network.
- Complete projects that impact our customers and business.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Interest in insurance, underwriting, and market trends.
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in math, including statistics, probability, and financial principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn.
