About the role#
As a Technology Intern, you will join our team for a 12-week paid program in Boston. You will work alongside engineers to build and maintain our platforms, which include AI-powered solutions, policy and underwriting systems, and API-driven services. This role offers the opportunity to see how technology supports the insurance lifecycle from quote to policy.
What you'll do#
- Join an agile scrum team and participate in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Design, build, test, and document software solutions including integrations, APIs, automation, and internal tools.
- Develop and execute test cases and contribute to automated testing to improve delivery speed.
- Investigate, reproduce, and troubleshoot software defects to identify root causes.
- Use AI-assisted development and testing tools to accelerate your work.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion.
- Communicate progress, questions, and blockers to teammates and stakeholders.
- Present your work and findings to the team and technology leadership at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on coding experience from coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or previous internships.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including how software is designed, built, tested, and deployed.
- Experience with or a strong interest in using AI tools for software development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Basic SQL skills and an interest in working with raw data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies and the insurance business.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Compensation: $25 to $28 per hour, determined by relevant skills and experience.
