About the role#
This is a 12-week internship program designed for students to gain hands-on experience in technology. You will work on projects that support our global payment systems, build professional connections, and participate in workshops to grow your skills. The program includes a final presentation where you share your project results with company leaders.
What you'll do#
- Design, code, and test software solutions for routing digital currency transactions.
- Deploy Kafka clusters using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop a natural language chatbot for knowledge base searches.
- Build visual monitoring tools to detect transactional issues.
- Create testing tools to identify system errors.
- Prototype solutions for automated payments at gas stations.
- Develop an app factory for mobile banking apps.
- Automate processes using low latency algorithms.
- Enhance Visa Checkout usability across platforms.
- Support the full software development lifecycle while learning secure coding practices.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, or Business.
- Your expected graduation date is between December 2028 and August 2029.
- Proficiency in at least one language such as Java, C/C++, C#.NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
- Familiarity with software testing principles and tools like Selenium, REST, or Groovy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle ambiguity.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- You must be resourceful and focused on achieving results.
Location & details#
- Location: Ashburn, Virginia.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least 3 days in the office per week.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Employment Type: Full time.
- Compensation: $41 to $48 per hour.
- Travel: This position requires 5-10% travel.
