About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time position is based in Colorado Springs and supports the C2BMC Next Program. You will work alongside mentors to build your technical proficiency and gain industry experience.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, and debug code under the supervision of senior developers.
- Implement small features or make enhancements to existing software.
- Contribute to the development of new applications or tools.
- Develop your knowledge and skillsets under the guidance of mentors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Completion of at least 90 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or JavaScript.
- An active and transferable U.S. government security clearance, which is required prior to your start date.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Familiarity with software development tools like Git, Visual Studio, IntelliJ, or Eclipse.
- Experience with front-end or back-end development.
- Familiarity with the Agile development cycle.
