About the role#
As a Validation Planning Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will support the Validation organization by promoting disciplined, model-based systems engineering. You will contribute to projects involving commercial and military engines. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term based on-site in East Hartford, Connecticut.
What you'll do#
- Develop familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysML, and Magic Grid methodology.
- Learn, refine, and create Verification and Validation MBSE frameworks and methods.
- Optimize engineering frameworks and methods using coded scripts or AI tools.
- Gain exposure to jet propulsion design and test basics.
- Contribute to departmental projects while gaining practical experience in the aerospace industry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- U.S. citizenship is required for access to necessary systems.
- Experience in systems engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of MBSE, SysML, or programming experience in Java or similar languages is preferred.
