About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Cyber Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. You will work with the Non-Kinetic Capabilities and Technologies team to address challenges in cybersecurity and cyberspace operations for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers.
What you'll do#
- Develop next-generation cyber capabilities.
- Create or investigate new types of cyber physical systems.
- Build exploits, implants, payloads, and communication stacks using reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and software development.
- Work with cross-disciplinary teams to solve technical problems.
- Operationalize software through testing, documentation, and system integration.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics.
- Must be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- Experience in programming with C/C++, Python, or assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, etc.).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred skills include:
- Capture the Flag (CTF) experience.
- OS kernel development experience (Windows, Linux, MacOS, or Android).
- Reverse engineering skills using tools like IDA, Ghidra, or BinaryNinja.
- Network programming experience.
- Active Security Clearance.
