About the role#
As an Intern Systems Engineer, you will work within the Strategic Defense Solutions team to support tactical communication solutions for national defense. You will collaborate with a mentor to learn engineering processes and contribute to the development of systems that support critical mission needs. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in a cross-functional environment while working on complex communication platforms.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a cross-functional agile team.
- Coordinate with a mentor to apply established engineering processes.
- Create, decompose, and trace requirements for communications systems on air and ground military platforms.
- Use model-based systems engineering applications to build logical and physical design diagrams.
- Perform integration and testing for communications solutions.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- Experience with systems engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML), or Agile environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with RTX systems and tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are preferred.

- Compensation: 37,000 USD to 82,000 USD.
