About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Software Development Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. You will work on complex systems within the aviation and aerospace component manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for complex systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Ensure system integration and scalability across projects.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to improve performance and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain coding standards and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Must be actively enrolled through the internship completion and have at least 60 credit hours by the start date.
- Experience with C++, C, Java, Python, Ada, or related languages.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, systems software design, and operating systems.
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Ability to produce technical documentation and communicate effectively in a team setting.
- Exposure to Agile/SCRUM, DevOps, and test automation is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
