About the role#
The Division of Physical Therapy at the University of New Mexico is hiring a student employee for the REACH Pro Bono Clinic. This clinic provides physical therapy services to community members facing financial barriers. You will work approximately 10 hours per week during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. This is a paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Contact clinic participants by phone or text to schedule appointments.
- Communicate directly with Spanish-speaking participants.
- Send reminder messages and confirm that participants have received their appointment details.
- Fill last-minute appointment cancellations to keep the clinic schedule running efficiently.
- Create and maintain the clinician schedule.
- Assist with general office tasks like filing, copying, data entry, and program support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program at UNM.
- Enrollment of at least 6 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters.
- Conversational proficiency in Spanish.
- Ability to work Thursday evenings from 2:30 to 8:00 p.m.
- Comfort working with technology.
- If you are a Work-Study student, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Preferred: Work-Study eligibility, previous experience with medical interpretation or scheduling, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, Google Voice, and OneDrive.
