About the role#
As a Summer 2027 Intern, you will work within the Health and Safety team to gain hands-on experience in a professional business environment. You will support the Corporate Health and Safety Manager in advancing key safety initiatives and contribute to projects that support our operations. This role focuses on implementing safety practices, ensuring compliance, and promoting a culture of well-being across our distribution centers.
What you'll do#
- Support ongoing projects, reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with distribution centers to evaluate and enhance safety practices.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in audits and inspections.
- Develop training materials and support initiatives that engage employees in proactive safety behaviors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and internship program activities.
- Present project outcomes, recommendations, or key learnings at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Health and Safety Management, Industrial Safety, or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Preference for rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
- Less than 2 years of experience in clinical operations support, healthcare administration, patient services, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, volunteer, or work experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
