About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides hands-on experience within our distribution center operations. You will work alongside a mentor to gain insight into supply chain functions, lead teams, and develop business acumen. The program aims to prepare future supply chain leaders by immersing you in real-world business challenges. At the end of the program, you will present your accomplishments and key learnings to the leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Gain an understanding of supply chain disciplines and business processes.
- Assist in analyzing and developing supply chain metrics.
- Plan daily and weekly department workloads to meet business priorities.
- Manage a team to deliver specific goals.
- Organize and facilitate work team meetings, such as pre-shift briefings.
- Rotate through different departments to carry out specific responsibilities.
- Build relationships with hourly team members, peers, and senior leadership.
- Participate in training activities and professional development events.
- Foster a safe, diverse, and inclusive work culture.
- Communicate findings and project updates to management.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership, or Business Management.
- Graduation with a bachelor’s degree within one year of internship completion.
- Proven leadership experience through academic, campus, or off-campus projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an unstructured environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective presentation, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Must not require sponsorship for employment in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Sugar Land, Texas (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027).
- Employment: Full-time.
- Flexibility: You must be available to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Relocation flexibility is considered an asset for future advancement.
