About the role#
The Applied Process Technology (APT) Engineer Co-Op supports the innovation portfolio across global operations. This role involves engineering support for new product development, pilot plant design, and chemical processing. You will work on-site at the FishHawk site in Lithia, Florida, with travel to other Florida locations as needed.
What you'll do#
- Lead innovative engineering projects and improvement activities, including the development of new processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies on new technology to improve mining and concentrate processing.
- Participate in and direct research activities in both laboratory and full-scale industrial settings.
- Engage and communicate with various levels of personnel, including plant operators, engineers, management, and contractors.
- Participate in department and project-specific meetings.
What you'll need#
- Junior level or above by January/May 2027, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Ability to work full time.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027, to April 23, 2027).

- Compensation: Paid position.
