About the role#
The Mosaic Biosciences Agronomy Co-Op/Intern role is a full-time, paid summer position running from May to August 2027. You will work closely with regional agronomists and local staff to support field research and data collection for Mosaic Biosciences North America. This role involves remote work combined with travel to support trial sites across various Midwest regions.
What you'll do#
- Identify trial sites and evaluate plant characteristics, both below and above ground.
- Capture photos and video images of processes and research results.
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic records for all test sites and treatments.
- Assist with field plot research functions and gather detailed field information.
- Engage with accounts in a sales setting as needed.
- Communicate with personnel across the organization, including management and technical staff.
- Participate in department and project-specific meetings.
- Adhere to company mission, guiding principles, and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore standing or higher by May 2027, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, Ag Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Ability to work full-time while maintaining student status.
- Basic computer skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to sites.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug and alcohol screening, background check, and physical/functional capacity exam.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, work at heights, and distinguish specific colors or patterns.
- 1-2 years of volunteer or work experience and previous internship experience are preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote role with required travel to support regions in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Wisconsin, or Michigan.
- The position is full-time, typically 36-40 hours per week.
