About the role#
The Mosaic Mining the Future Indigenous Students program offers summer 2027 work terms for post-secondary students. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience across various departments within the mining industry. Students will be placed in roles based on their field of study and operational needs.
What you'll do#
Depending on your placement, you may perform the following tasks:
- Student Engineer: Work on site operations including process, maintenance, mining, reliability, or geology.
- Environmental/Lab Technician: Assist with compliance tasks and field data collection.
- HR or Talent Support: Help with recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement.
- Administrative Assistant: Support office operations, scheduling, and communications.
- Project Coordinator: Manage project timelines, resources, and team collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Of Métis, First Nation, or Inuit ancestry (status or Métis citizenship card required).
- Must be a full-time post-secondary student in the semester prior to the work term.
- Ability to work full-time during the selected work term.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to work effectively with others and comply with all safety and environmental policies.
- Eligible majors include Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, Logistics, Agriculture, Chemical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.
