About the role#
The Mosaic Company is seeking a Mining Engineer or Geoscience Co-Op/Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position is based at the Mosaic Potash Esterhazy K3 underground mine. You will work on special projects designed to improve facility efficiency and product quality while gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of senior professionals.
What you'll do#
- Shadow experienced professionals to build job knowledge and provide input on current practices.
- Travel underground to perform inspections and collect operational data.
- Assist the department with Mine Ventilation or Mine Planning duties.
- Support geophysical surveys by preparing equipment and gathering data.
- Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help collect, organize, and interpret geological data.
- Communicate with personnel across the organization, including management, engineers, and tradespeople.
What you'll need#
- Third-year standing or above by May 2027 in Mining, Geological, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Geoscience.
- A minimum GPA of 72%.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating shifts and overtime as required.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including working in outdoor and underground settings, climbing stairs, and wearing a respirator.
- Previous internship or co-op experience and 1-2 years of volunteer or work experience are preferred.
- Candidates must successfully complete pre-placement screenings including a drug and alcohol test, background check, and physical functional capacity examination.

- Location: Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027, starting May 10, 2027, for up to 16 months.
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time (36-40 hours per week).
- Housing and relocation support may be provided for qualified candidates.
