About the role#
The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an intern for the Professional Liability Underwriting team. This is a 10-week, full-time summer program designed to provide college students with hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will work alongside underwriters to learn the business and contribute to daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Support underwriting functions by working directly with assigned underwriters and the broader team.
- Assist with daily transactions, including quoting, endorsements, and documentation.
- Complete a specific project assigned by the Professional Liability Department.
- Prepare and deliver a final presentation for management and leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program.
- Preference for majors in Finance, Economics, or Risk Management.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to commit to the full 10-week, full-time program.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
