About the role#
As the Student Financial Services Manager, you will lead the financial services team at the Tulsa Welding School Dallas campus. This role focuses on helping students and families navigate tuition planning and financial aid. You will manage the office operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support student retention through effective funding administration.
What you'll do#
- Administer and supervise institutional policies, procedures, and funding programs for awarding and collections.
- Oversee the operational functions of the Student Financial Services Office, including staff training and updates.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all disbursed funds to maintain compliance and avoid fiscal liability.
- Advise students and families on tuition planning matters.
- Monitor student aid eligibility and maintain records for Federal Student Aid recipients.
- Manage Campus VA School Certifying Officials and VA Education benefit activities.
- Serve as a liaison between departments and participate in institutional committees.
- Handle personnel management, including hiring, training, assigning work, and performance reviews.
- Conduct monthly mandatory Exit Counseling seminars and attend semi-annual graduation events.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of five years of experience in Student Financial Services.
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, institutional, and VA aid programs.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a student-first mindset.
- Ability to balance compliance, compassion, and operational excellence.
