About the role#
This position supports Student Financial Services and the Financial Aid Office with operational, communication, and outreach needs. You will serve as a primary point of contact for students and parents while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial records. This role is for the 2026-27 academic year and pays $9.50 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Staff the front desk to provide in-person, phone, and email support for billing and financial inquiries.
- Act as backup to the SFS Coordinator during lunch and absences.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns for campus events like Financial Wellness Week and National First-Generation College Day.
- Collaborate with Messiah Press to create campaign materials, flyers, and artwork.
- Assist with non-current student billing, including counseling students with past-due balances.
- Help maintain and edit the Student Financial Services and Falcon Exchange websites.
- Process outside scholarship checks, student payments, and student documents.
- Prepare department mailings and contact students regarding outstanding financial aid requirements.
- Update tracking spreadsheets and assist with Aging Reports for unpaid balances.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Experience with social media platforms.
- Ability to maintain strict financial confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic accounting or mathematical knowledge.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of people from diverse populations.
- Experience with Banner, Oracle, or similar student financial systems is preferred.
- Experience editing webpages is preferred.
