About the role#
National Louis University is hiring a Student Finance Representative for our Tampa campus. This role involves reviewing student files, evaluating financial aid applications, and advising students on their eligibility for Title IV funding. You will use your technical knowledge of financial aid programs to assist students and peers through phone and electronic correspondence. This position requires analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
What you'll do#
- Comply with all Federal, State, and institutional policies and procedures.
- Interpret and apply Title IV regulations to ensure university compliance.
- Review financial aid files for completeness and accuracy while meeting verification requirements.
- Perform student outreach to advise on eligibility and potential funding options.
- Calculate grant and loan eligibility using standard or borrower-based academic years.
- Certify federal and private student loans and post award data into the student information system.
- Maintain and coordinate awarding and student aging reports.
- Resolve escalated student issues by reviewing, analyzing, and providing solutions.
- Identify process improvements and share potential solutions with management.
- Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders via phone and email.
- Maintain ethical and accurate documentation and record keeping.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED with significant related work experience.
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- Strong customer focus, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
- A track record of producing accurate, high-quality work.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- The pay range is $20.16 to $28.22 per hour based on a 37.5-hour workweek.
