About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within our Excess & Surplus Underwriting team. You will gain exposure to underwriting functions and contribute to real business tasks while working alongside experienced professionals in our Richmond office.
What you'll do#
- Partner with underwriters to support daily underwriting functions.
- Assist with transactions such as quoting, endorsements, and documentation.
- Complete a specific project for the Professional Liability Department.
- Present your work and findings to management and leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program.
- Preferred majors include Risk Management, Insurance, Business, or Data Analytics.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week program.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
