About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term (January through April). You will work 40 hours per week at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City. The role is primarily on-site, though some days may be worked from home. This position includes medical benefits.
What you'll do#
As a Liahona writer and editor intern, you will collaborate with staff to plan and develop content for a worldwide audience. Your daily work involves writing, editing, interviewing sources, and researching topics. You will also proofread content and evaluate manuscripts. Specific duties vary based on your personal goals and the needs of the magazine team.
What you'll need#
- Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited college or university, or graduation within the last year.
- At least one semester of college-level editing or writing experience, such as work on a newspaper, literary journal, or in a writing lab.
- Strong skills in writing, revising, copyediting, and proofreading.
- A sound understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy.
- Familiarity with Chicago style and the Church Style Guide.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
- Professionalism and the ability to work well with others.
- Availability for video conference interviews.
