About the role#
As a Community Development Intern at ICCU, you will help our team engage with members and the local community. You will gain experience in event production, communications, business administration, and strategic partnerships while working alongside our Community Development, Communications, and Events teams.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Community Development, Communications, and Events teams on various initiatives.
- Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories.
What you'll need#
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A valid Driver’s License, as this role involves local travel.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift 70-80 pounds, such as equipment, tables, or coolers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and operate basic office machines.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration or Communications is preferred.

- Location: Yakima, Washington.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time with a rolling term.
- Compensation: $19 per hour.
