About the role#
As an IT Intern focusing on IT Security, you will support the ICCU Security Program and gain practical experience within a banking environment. This role involves working alongside IT Security Analysts to maintain system security and support the organization's technical infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and report on controls associated with the ICCU Security Program.
- Collaborate with IT Security Analysts to implement security best practices and risk-based requirements.
- Maintain and support the Splunk SIEM product.
- Provide front line monitoring and configuration of security systems.
- Assist the team with security investigations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Coursework focused on IT Security.
- Ability to work during an agreed upon schedule.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies, and operate basic office equipment.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
- Experience with Splunk SIEM and security certifications such as Security+ are considered a plus.
