About the role#
As a Data Engineer Technical Intern, you will work alongside senior mentors to develop information solutions that help departments across the Church make informed decisions. This role provides an opportunity to support systems and deliver services to users at Church headquarters and around the world. You will be part of a team that develops enterprise solutions while working in an environment that values professional development.
What you'll do#
- Migrate data from on-premises systems to the cloud.
- Collaborate with teams to build process models.
- Compile reports on implementation and data.
- Monitor processes and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Craft management reports to communicate project status.
- Seek opportunities to improve existing processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, or Computer Engineering.
- A strong aptitude for understanding and associating data.
- A genuine interest in analyzing large amounts of information.
- An aptitude for learning business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Business Objects.
- Solid business presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with management.
- Must be a member of the Church who is worthy of a temple recommend.
Location & details#
- Location: Riverton, Utah.
- Modality: On-site, remote, and hybrid options are available.
- Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position lasting approximately 4 months.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 start dates.
- Benefits: Full-time interns are eligible for a high deductible medical plan.
