About the role#
As a Community Development Intern, you will work with our team to plan and run events. You will gain experience in event production, business administration, and strategic partnerships. This role is part-time and based in Kennewick, Washington. Spanish language skills are preferred.
What you'll do#
- Work with the Community Development, Communications, and Events teams.
- Help plan, organize, and execute local events.
- Manage and update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories.
- Lift and move event equipment weighing 70 to 80 pounds, such as tables and coolers.
- Travel locally as required by event schedules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration or Communications program.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays when scheduled.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational habits.
- Ability to stand for long periods and operate basic office equipment.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
