About the role#
As a Community Development Intern, you will work with the Community Development, Communications, and Events teams to engage with members and the local community. You will gain hands-on experience in event production, business administration, and strategic partnerships while supporting the team in bringing events to life.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Community Development team on various initiatives.
- Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting equipment weighing 70 to 80 pounds, such as tables, coolers, and the money machine.
- Stand for extended periods and operate basic office equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Business Administration, Communications, or Human Resources.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to tolerate extensive local travel.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
