About the role#
As a Community Development Intern at ICCU, you will support the team in engaging with members and the local community. This role provides hands-on experience in event production, strategic partnerships, and business administration. You will work alongside the Community Development, Communications, and Events teams to bring community initiatives to life.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Community Development team on various projects.
- Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events.
- Maintain accurate records by updating spreadsheets, databases, and inventories.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting equipment weighing 70 to 80 pounds, such as tables, coolers, and the money machine.
- Stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Business Administration, Communications, or Human Resources.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A valid Driver’s License, as this position requires extensive local travel.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
