About the role#
This internship provides college juniors and seniors with hands-on experience in full-stack software development within a financial organization. You will work under general supervision to gain practical knowledge of IT policies and development technologies while preparing for a professional career.
What you'll do#
- Assist with various full-stack development projects and tasks.
- Participate in testing system updates and bug fixes, including identifying defects and documenting results.
- Perform special projects as determined by the information technology staff.
- Gain practical experience in both front-end and back-end development roles.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the IT team to discuss projects and issues to be resolved.
- Assist with daily process validations, audit reviews, and researching system issues.
- Develop skills in troubleshooting and professional communication to provide issue resolution for end users.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university working toward a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related software development field.
- Passion for technology and a desire to build a career in full-stack software development.
- Ability to dedicate 15-20 hours per week to the program.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records at all times.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
