About the role#
As a Nurse Extern in Telemetry, you will provide basic and intermediate nursing care for an assigned group of patients. You will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide essential assistance and comfort to patients. This position requires you to complete established competencies within your introductory period.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned patients.
- Assist patients to ensure comfort and support.
- Work under the direct supervision of an RN.
- Complete all required clinical competencies during the introductory period.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited school of nursing.
- Completion of at least one semester of clinicals in an RN program.
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA) upon hire.
- Must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of starting.
