About the role#
Fort HealthCare is looking for a Medical Assistant student to join our clinic team. You will provide care and support to patients under the direction of a physician or mid-level provider. This is a part-time position with a day shift schedule.
What you'll do#
- Room patients, review health histories, and collect vital signs.
- Summarize patient clinical information to help providers with care planning.
- Conduct nurse visits to monitor and record blood pressure.
- Perform laboratory testing covered by CLIA and prepare specimens for transport.
- Conduct EKG tests for diagnostic evaluation.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations.
- Maintain patient care areas and sterilize medical equipment.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active enrollment in a Medical Assistant program.
