    About the role#

    Baptist Health is looking for a Respiratory Therapy Student to join the team at the Birmingham location. You will work under the direction of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to support patient care and equipment management. This role is a paid, on-site position with a rolling term.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform patient care duties as permitted by state law.
    • Assemble, maintain, clean, and calibrate respiratory care equipment.
    • Manage medical gas cylinder supplies in the department.
    • Restock supplies and retrieve equipment to keep work areas fully stocked.
    • Assist physicians and Respiratory Therapists with medical procedures.
    • Report equipment malfunctions and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a CoARC or successor Respiratory Care Program.
    • Evidence of good standing within your academic program.
    • Proof of continued enrollment without breaks.
    • A current BLS or Healthcare provider certification.
    • Ability to work until your official Respiratory Program pinning ceremony.
