About the role#
Baptist Health is looking for an MRI Intern to join the Clinical School Department at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to prepare you for a career as a registered MRI Technologist. You will work alongside technical staff to complete the necessary clinical requirements and training. Please note that call and holiday availability is required for this role. Upon successful completion of the internship, you may be offered a full-time, part-time, or PRN position.
What you'll do#
- Assist MRI technical staff with patient transport, screening, and obtaining patient records.
- Perform diagnostic exams on patients under the direct supervision of a registered technical professional.
- Complete an online modality education program approved by the ARRT.
- Perform and document all required clinical procedures.
- Register for and sit for the ARRT modality-specific certification exam within the required timeframe.
- Comply with ARRT Standards of Ethics and all mandatory health and education requirements.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiology.
- Current credentials in Radiology, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Mammography, or MRI.
- A supporting category prerequisite approved by the ARRT.
- Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening, which includes a fingerprint-based check of state and national criminal history.
