About the role#
The Silberstein Lab at Fred Hutch is looking for a part-time undergraduate Research Intern to support projects focused on leukemia prevention and immune function after stem cell transplantation. This is an unpaid, on-site position based in Seattle. You will earn academic credit through your undergraduate program for your work in the lab.
What you'll do#
- Perform mouse genotyping and breeding to support ongoing research projects.
- Assist with experiments, specifically mouse bone marrow sample preparation and analysis.
- Attend weekly lab meetings.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the lab team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with an interest in the sciences.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Motivation, adaptability, and the ability to work as a team player.
- A complete CV that details your previous experience and lab coursework.
- A cover letter submitted with your application.
- Written confirmation from your institution's advisor stating you will receive school credit for this internship.
