About the role#
As a Nurse Technician, you provide basic patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You help maintain patient comfort and assist with the daily needs of those in our care. This position follows established guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
- Measure and document patient data, including vital signs, weight, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Support patients with activities of daily living like meals, hygiene, and mobility.
- Help physicians during examinations, treatments, and special tests.
- Perform clinical procedures consistent with your current level of nursing education and school standards.
- Keep patient rooms and nursing stations clean and organized.
- Transport patient specimens to the lab and handle medication delivery as directed by the nurse manager.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Registered Nurse program.
- Junior or Senior level standing.
- Completion of your first Medical/Surgical clinical rotation.
- Active BLS Certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.
- Good standing within your nursing program.
