About the role#
As a Pharmacist Intern at Saint Francis Hospital, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the accurate preparation, dispensing, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. This role is designed for pharmacy students to gain practical experience that aligns with their current academic standing and professional education.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of inpatient and outpatient medications.
- Review and interpret medication orders to ensure appropriate dosage and identify potential drug interactions.
- Conduct medication rounds and prepare IV additives using aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient therapy through pharmacokinetic analysis of therapeutic drug levels.
- Participate in educational programs and departmental projects to improve clinical and operational performance.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited college or school of pharmacy with demonstrated progress toward completion.
- Current Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
- Pharmacy Technician certification as required by state regulations.
