About the role#
The Clinical Intern for Sterile Processing supports departmental operations and strategic initiatives. You will gain hands-on, practical experience in a clinical setting while working under the supervision of a department leader or licensed professional. This role involves contributing to daily operations, research, and projects that align with your academic program.
What you'll do#
- Provide quality patient care and service within your scope of practice.
- Transport patients, supplies, equipment, and specimens throughout the facility.
- Assist with administrative, operational, clinical, or professional tasks.
- Manage data, conduct research, and prepare summaries or reports.
- Observe, document, and communicate work progress and findings to your team.
- Participate in staff and project meetings as requested.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 16 years of age.
- Completion of at least 2 years of high school education.
- Participation in the Goodwill Excel Program for Sterile Processing.
- Ability to obtain or maintain BLS certification.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Manual dexterity and clear speech.
